Frequently
Asked Questions
Q.
Who are you and why should I place an order with you?
A.
Coastline Comics is one of the Internet’s and eBay’s
largest dealers of modern CGC and CGG graded comic items.
An eBay seller since May 2000, Coastline Comics (aka
CoastlineAdventures) has an amazing 99.8%
Positive Feedback Profile and hundreds of happy repeat buyers.
Because we are collectors first and dealers second, you can rest
assured that you are getting the highest quality product and superior
service each and every time you buy a value collectible from us.
Q. How do I place an
order?
A. Placing an order
on Coastline Comics is simple.
Just choose the item you want (like a PayPal shopping cart item,
an eBay store item or an eBay auction item) and complete the purchase by
following the simple checkout instructions.
Confirmations and follow-ups are then sent by email and payment
via PayPal credit card, money order or cashier’s check is then set-up
per your preference. It’s
that simple!
Q. Do you do
pre-orders for items?
A. Coastline
Comics strongly disagrees with pre-sells in general and we promise
our customers that only IN-STOCK-READY-TO-SHIP-THE-NEXT-DAY-ITEMS will
ever be offered for sale on www.CoastlineComics.com.
If, however, you are looking for a specific item that you don’t
see on our site, please, by all means, send
us your want lists here. But
again, it is Coastline Comics’ policy never to sell anything on
our site that we do not have in-hand for immediate delivery.
Q. What forms of
payment do you accept?
A. Coastline
Comics prefers PayPal. However,
bank transfers, cashier’s check and money orders are also accepted as
valid forms of payments at this time.
Q. How much is
shipping on each order?
A. Coastline
Comics, unlike other dealers does not gouge its customers on
shipping. Nor does Coastline
Comics believe in charging a “handling fee” on its orders.
All shipping is done via USPS Priority Mail Shipping with
delivery confirmation. Usually
all graded CGC and CGG items cost $7.00 to ship and all ungraded comic
items cost a flat $5.00 to ship. These
rates cover domestic Priority boxed shipment, including delivery
confirmation, within the domestic 48 states.
As always, it is the customer’s choice as to whether insurance
is desired for a minimal additional fee.
Q. How are these
comic items shipped?
A. Coastline
Comics takes great pride in ensuring that all ordered items arrive
in the condition in which they were sent.
To that end, all CGC and CGG graded items are sent bubble-wrapped
in high-impact US Priority Boxes to ensure their safe arrival.
All ungraded comic items are sent bagged and boarded and securely
packaged. Both graded and
ungraded packages are marked fragile and sent with delivery confirmation
to ensure their safe arrival. NOTE:
In three plus years of mail order sales Coastline Comics’ has
had only one graded and three ungraded items arrive damaged.
Thus, we are confident your item will arrive quickly and safely
in the condition in which it was advertised.
Q. Do you have an
email newsletter?
A. Coastline
Comics maintains an active promotions list of opt-in current and

more about your popular graded comic items?
A. Coastline Comics
is pleased to offer high-grade modern comic graded collectibles from the comic
industry’s two leading comic grading services, CGC
and CGG(Now PGX).
CGC, also known as the Comic
Guaranty, Corp., is located in Florida
and has been independently grading and encapsulating comic collectibles since
2001. The leader in the field of
3rd-party comic grading CGC
is the standard in the industry and has developed a solid reputation for its
grading accuracy and high-quality holder.
CGG,
also known as the CGGroup or Comic Grading Group, is located in
Oregon
and is a relatively new addition to the field of 3rd-party
comic grading, having launched full operations in early 2003.
Nevertheless, in this short period of time CGG
has established a well-earned reputation within the field for its
demanding spot-on grading, superior customer service and extremely fast
turnaround time for both dealers and customers.
Q.
What grading standards do you use for your ungraded comic
